Getting started

Your first week, one step at a time.

You don’t need to change everything at once. Start with your diary, then add the next thing when you’re ready.

Your first 30 days are free. No card needed to start.

Illustrative example.

Where are you starting from?

  • A paper diary

Keep it for anything already booked in the past. Put your next few weeks of appointments into Numa Health, then pick a date from which every new booking goes into Numa Health only.

  • A spreadsheet or your phone

Use it to check your upcoming appointments as you add them. Add clients as they book, or one at a time. There’s no client-list import yet.

  • Another practice system

Keep it running for history while you set up. Add your upcoming appointments, then switch on reminders in Numa Health and off in the old system on the same day, so clients don’t get two.

    Switching from another system

Your first week.

  1. Create your account.

Your name, email address and a password. No card. Then confirm your email with the six-digit code we send.

  2. Tell us about your practice.

Your profession, services, prices and working hours. For several professions, Numa Health suggests services to start from.

  3. Practise with sample data.

Try booking, moving and cancelling appointments, sending an invoice and writing a note, before anything is real.

  4. Put in your upcoming appointments.

Add clients as you go. Set up repeat bookings for regular clients.

  5. Check what clients will receive.

Some reminders and form messages are on from the start. Read the wording and timing before your first real booking.

  6. Build your website.

About 10 minutes of your time. We build it while you get on with your day, usually in 30 to 60 minutes, and it can take longer when lots of people are building at once.

Stuck? Ask us.

Email support@kestrelpulse.co.uk or use the contact form. Tell us what you’re trying to do, but please leave out client names and clinical details.

You don’t have to work it all out at once.

I use a paper diary. Is that a sensible place to start?

Yes. Start with one week of appointments and see how it feels. You don’t need to offer online booking to clients until you want to.

Can I keep answering my own phone?

Yes. Numa Health doesn’t answer your phone. Clients can still call you, and you put the booking in yourself.

Will messages go out as soon as I start?

Some reminders and form messages are on from the start and go out when their conditions are met. Check them before you add real clients. Nothing is ever sent to sample clients, so read each reminder’s wording in your settings.

Can you move my existing records for me?

Not today. There’s no client-list import yet. Keep your old records where they are for history, and start new ones in Numa Health.
