The question we hear

“Can clients book themselves, and can I stop reminding them to turn up?”

For bookings made at least a day ahead, reminders go out on their own. If someone cancels, Numa Health can offer the slot to people on your waiting list and book in the first person who accepts, once you switch that on.

What you can do

  1. Day, week, month and list views. Drag to move an appointment, or stretch it to change the length.

  2. Repeat bookings for weekly or regular clients, with clashes flagged.

  3. Online booking, day and night. Clients choose the service, practitioner and time, and confirm with a one-time code. You decide how far ahead they can book, how close to the day, and whether new clients can book.

  4. Reminders at 7 days, 48 hours, 24 hours or 2 hours before, each switched on or off as you like (the 48-hour and 24-hour ones start switched on). For each one, choose email, text or WhatsApp (early access), in any mix.

  5. Clients can reply to confirm or cancel, or change their booking from a link, if you allow it.

  6. A waiting list that offers a freed-up slot by text or email and books in whoever accepts, once you switch it on.

  7. See your appointments in your phone’s calendar (Google or Apple).

  8. Block out time off and holidays, so nobody can book you on your day off.

Good to know

Before you start

Check your reminder settings before your first real booking: some are on from the start. Appointments booked less than 24 hours ahead don’t get automatic reminders. WhatsApp is in early access and needs setting up first. Waiting-list offers are off until you switch them on, and need people on your list. Your calendar feed shows your Numa Health appointments in your phone’s calendar, but doesn’t bring other events back in. Texts use your plan’s text credits.

Questions

Common questions

Do my clients have to book online?
No. You can keep booking appointments yourself. Online booking is there when you want it.
Will reminders come from my own phone number?
No. Texts are sent from a shared number, so your personal number stays private. Stoop and Eyrie include a dedicated number for client messages.
Can clients cancel at the last minute?
You choose whether clients can cancel or rebook online, and how close to the appointment. You can also set a late-cancellation fee, taken from the client’s deposit.
